5 of the Best Wedding Venues in Dallas–Fort Worth for 2026
If you're newly engaged and based in the DFW area, first of all — congratulations! And second of all, you've picked one of the best cities in the country to get married in. Dallas ranked 13th on WalletHub's 2026 "Best Places to Get Married" list, and The Knot shows there are nearly 700 local wedding venues for couples to choose from. That's a lot of options — which is exciting, and also a little overwhelming.
As a DFW-based wedding photographer who has shot weddings across Canada and the US, I know that the venue you choose sets the tone for your entire gallery. The light, the architecture, the surroundings — they all shape what your photos will look and feel like. So I've put together my personal list of DFW venues that I think are genuinely special — and photograph beautifully.
1. The Dallas Arboretum
If you're dreaming of lush outdoor greenery, blooming gardens, and natural light that makes every photo feel like it came straight off a Pinterest board, the Dallas Arboretum is the gold standard. There are several options for ceremony and reception locations, each full of unique character and charm — and it's also perfect for couples wanting a semi blank slate to make their own. Fall is absolutely magical here as the foliage turns, and spring brings incredible blooms. This is the venue I recommend most often to couples who want that timeless, natural editorial feel.
2. The Hillside Estate
For couples who want something that feels truly grand and fairy-tale-like, The Hillside Estate is hard to beat. There are two getting-ready suites, each with its own personality — one with leather finishes and a pool table, the other full of natural light — with plenty of space for hair and makeup. The indoor chapel features high ceilings, sparkling chandeliers, and big windows designed with wedding photography in mind. In Texas, having a stunning indoor option is a big deal given the summer heat, and this venue delivers on both indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces.
3. The Mason
If you want something with character and history rather than a purpose-built wedding venue feel, The Mason in Oak Cliff is one of my personal favourites. The Mason is housed in a 1920s Masonic Lodge building that has been completely redesigned on the inside while retaining its beautiful exterior. It's moody, atmospheric, and produces some of the most dramatic portraits I've ever seen. Perfect for couples who want their wedding to feel cinematic and unique rather than cookie-cutter.
4. Arlington Hall at Turtle Creek Park
For couples who love classic Southern elegance, Arlington Hall is a hidden gem. It looks like a grand antebellum home, perched on a hill surrounded by lush parkland and overlooking Turtle Creek — and though it's only minutes from downtown Dallas, it feels like a world away. The outdoor surroundings give you incredible portrait opportunities throughout the day, and the venue works beautifully for both traditional and modern wedding aesthetics.
5. The Olana
If luxury is your love language, The Olana is your venue. Known as one of the most spectacular wedding estates in all of Texas, it offers sweeping views, grand architecture, and interiors that feel more European château than North Texas. It photographs extraordinarily well at golden hour and is ideal for larger celebrations where every detail matters.
A note from your photographer:
Every venue on this list will give you a beautiful backdrop — but the magic in your photos comes from the moments, not the marble floors. My job is to find the light wherever we are and capture the real you, whether that's at a grand estate or a backyard ceremony with fairy lights.
